Life of Tushar – Nov 1955 – Nov 2017

Tushar Nathwani passed away in November 2017 after losing his battle with cancer. Leaving his wife Bina and son Anish who loved him very much. His family meant everything to him.

Here are a few words from his Son, Anish:

My Dad

Growing up, my dad was my hero. He taught me how to become a man, and the person you see today (me) is the legacy of himself.

Dad always had a very positive and hard working ethic. I remember he used to wake up extra early on Sunday mornings to cook me and my mum a delicious Indian or English breakfast.

Luckily for myself and mum, dad has a passion for ironing, so we didn’t have to iron the clothes, which is a hated household chore. I would come down on Sunday morning to watch MOTD and he would be ironing at 7am on a Sunday morning alongside making a great breakfast. My dad had a great passion for cooking also. Everybody loved his food, and me and mum were extremely lucky to taste his great cooking and chai making skills everyday!

My dad was also a very caring man and put everybody before himself. His charity work involving, BAPS shows what a kind spirited man he was. He would help with events, and always went that extra mile to make sure things were running smoothly. His food was so tasty, he would help in the kitchen also, and people would especially ask for his food, even the priest!

As I got older, I noticed a stark contrast from my mum and dad. Mum loves to relax when going on holidays, whereas my dad loved to explore, and I believe that is a trait I have inherited from my dad, as I love to travel and explore, my most recent trip being Italy. Dad would walk for miles, and I remember we were walking for a few hours in India, and when dad got back to the house, he had a massive sweat patch on the back of his shirt! Which brings me to the next topic of my wonderfully talented cooking, adventurous, kind hearted dad…

He loved to dress smart, in a shirt…family weddings…he valued unity above all else….
